Podcast Interview with Toks Olagundoye, Star Of 'The Neighbors'

That feeling when you watch a new, quirky Sci-fi comedy show?  And you enjoy the characters and the hilarious plots, and you talk about it on your podcast, and get the idea to invite one of the stars onto your show as a guest? You know the feeling, right?  Well, maybe you don't, but you can enjoy the interview with TOKS OLAGUNDOYE just as much as we did by listening to it now!

Toks, who plays Jackie Joyner-Kersee on the ABC comedy - THE NEIGHBORS - was a wonderful guest.  She talked about how having a goofy side to her personality payed off in getting the role, what it was like finding her love of theater, and how her mom was always prepared if any cray-cray went down back home... with the solution sitting right by the front door. My co-hosts, El Camino and Illumeenous joined me as Toks also discussed her other projects on the web and in film.  Thanks Illumeenous for the Nigerian Fake Egg question, it was enthralling. lol As you will hear, Ms. Olagundoye sounds as if she would fit in just right among our crew of geeks and nerds.  Watch her on THE NEIGHBORS, which will be coming back for a second season on Sept. 20th at 8:30pm eastern on ABC (right before Grimm).  And check out the first season on Netflix or Hulu+ and a few on Hulu.  Remember Geek Soul Brother's TV Watching Rule - 4 Episodes before you pass judgement! But you should like this show after two! Thanks Toks, we really appreciated you! Here's a clip of Toks as Jackie Joyner-Kersee acting with co-star Jamie Gertz, who plays the female human wife - Debbie Weaver:
